I've always used a program by Willow Pond called WillowTalk. However, they are no longer selling/supporting
WillowTalk. So, if you want, e-mail me and I'd be happy to send you a copy of the program.
Also, you may want to try the
Text to Speech tool from AT&T Labs-Research.
It's a pretty cool utility.
